Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language summary of what Core Motivations collects, how it is used, and your choices. It is written to be accurate to how the product actually works. It is not legal advice and is under review; we will keep it current as the product changes.

What we collect

Account: your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
Profile you choose to add: your name, and optionally your birthday, phone number, and gender.
Your assessment: the answers you give and the Core Motivations results calculated from them.
Your people graph: the connections you make, the communities you create or join, and any relationship labels or positions you set.
Preferences: whether you want email notifications.
Usage: basic product analytics, such as that an assessment was started or a result viewed, so we can understand and improve the experience. This is tied to your account when you are signed in.

How we use it

To run the assessment and show you your results.
To let you connect with people, form communities, and compare motivations.
To send the notifications you have turned on (for example, when someone accepts your connection). You can turn these off in Settings.
To understand how the product is used and improve it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see your information

Your account details (email, birthday, phone, gender) are private to you.
When you connect with someone, you each can see the other's full Core Motivations breakdown and where each of you lands on every scale.
Members of a community you join can see your name and your top Core Motivation.
Our team can access data where needed to operate and support the service.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time. Self-service deletion is being added to Settings; until then, email support@mycoremotivations.com and we will delete your account and confirm when it is done.

Cookies and sessions

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use them for advertising.
